Survey Finds UK Finance Minister Appears In More Nightmares Than Any Other Public Figure

George-OsbourneBy Denis Foynes

George Osborne cuts a scary figure. He is the Financial Minister of the UK and man of extreme self-assurance boarding on arrogance. He as has an enormous level of power over the day to day lives of the people of Britain. Therefore, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that a survey has found George Osborne is the public figure that most often appears in British nightmares.

The Finance Minister has made huge cuts to spending in an effort to cut the UK’s current debt. Many citizens don’t agree with his austerity measures and would prefer stimulus as a solution to Britain’s economic problems. They fear that the high level of cuts will put Britain back into recession. The public’s dislike for Osborne is no secret. For example, the only negative feeling surrounding in the entire 2012 Olympic Games in London occurred when George Osborne made an appearance in the stadium to present medals. A chorus of boos from the 70,000 strong crows rained on the Chancellor.

Shakila Ahmed who commissioned the survey said the fact that the financial crisis trouble Brits even while they are a sleep proves just how anxious the nation is about the economy. 'Suffering from nightmares involving the Chancellor, money and losing a job prove the double dip recession has affected our wellbeing as well as our money,' she said.
